I too am impressed by how quickly and securly a tripod can be attached. You're right, you barely know it's there. And I've used my platypus water bladder in that outer pouch, works great!

I haven't done any multiday trips with the Tilopa. The way I pack, there would not be enough room for camping gear/food with the large ICU. I'm going to get the small and med ICUs which will be better for such trips (assuming that tent/sleeping bag were strapped to the outside of pack).
Happy shooting!
EthanEthan Meleghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14924290992556030486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25633559.post-24500440580371963342011-02-20T14:59:24.063-05:002011-02-20T14:59:24.063-05:00My newer version of the Tilopa arrived a few weeks...My newer version of the Tilopa arrived a few weeks ago. I completely agree with your evaluation, and couldn't be happier with the comfort and flexibility.

I found attaching a large tripod especially fast and easy. Very stable, hardly notice it there, and no need to remove the tripod to access gear - a major issue with my other packs.

The pack also is designed to take a water bladder. I find that very important for a hiking pack. A protective sleeve for the bladder is optional.

My only complaint is that the rain cover is an additional charge. I just feel, at their prices, this should be a standard feature.

Have you done any multiday camping trips with the Tilopa?
