I'm currently shooting waterbirds in central New Mexico. The days have been long (up each day at 4:45am) but very productive! Here are some of my favorite photos from the past couple days. All taken with a 1DS mIII, 500mm IS lens and 1.4x or 2x teleconvertors.

Great shots. I especially like the Hooded Merganser with the sweet reflections. After some reconsideration, I added Bosque into my "itinerary." Maybe I'll run into you if you're still around. I just got in this evening.
ReplyDeleteok thats it. I'm on the next plane to meet up with you. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Ethan
Ethan, you are blowing my mind. Brilliant photos. I'm enjoying sitting by the fire in my B&B soaking up the warmth from those colours on the water. Sarnia this time of year does not compare!! Maybe I'll get some good shots of the power plant at night....it gives of some nice colours and steam....
ReplyDeleteThis is very cool Ethan, I'm thoroughly enjoying the shots and your technical info. - both for the shots and for the locals. I'm a beginner hobby photography and shoot with all Canon gear. The record of this awesome trip you're on will guide me in the near future - just semi-retired and hubby doesn't mind carrying the gear! Just waiting to get and learn how to use GND and ND filters - the Florida everglades may never look the same! Thanks for this great blog!
ReplyDeleteThe colours in the reflection of the water is amazing!! Love the shots!! Sharl
ReplyDeleteWicked shots Eth...as always. Good to see that the trip is producing results. How's living out of the van treating you now that you've been on the road for a while...?
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work and i'm always looking forward to your blog updates...
