Darwin Wiggett article on filters for landscape photography

Top landscape photographer, and fellow Canadian Darwin Wiggett, has just contributed a great article about filters for landscape/outdoor photography to the Singh-Ray blog.  Darwin's use of polarizers and ND grads is the same technique I use for virtually every landscape photo I shoot. This article is a must-read if you're an outdoor photographer...  check it out here:

  2. Thanks for posting this. There's some very interesting stuff on singh-ray blog. Quick question for you - given the high cost of filters which do you recommend one buy first a polarizer or ND grad?

  3. I'd definitely get a polarizer first... you can get around using an ND grad by exposure blending/HDR.... but you can't replicate the effect of a polarizer with any digital technique. Buy the Singh-Ray LB warming polarizer... it's the best polarizer on the market!
