Happy New Years!

Hola 2009!
What a great start to the year! I spent the morning photographing ducks in flight and finally nailed American Wigeon and Canvasback. During mid-day, I lounged next to the pool drifting in and out of a nap with some classic U2 cranked on my iPod. For evening light, my Mom and I went to shoot landscapes at Sabino Canyon - a scenic park in northeast Tucson. When we arrived back home, my stepdad had BBQ hamburgers ready. Life is good!

The Colorcombo polarizer is quickly becoming one of my favorite filters for helping to bring out vivid saturation.

    Ethan;

    I'm finally going to post a comment after watching your journey unfold across the continent. You're probably not missing the winter weather at its best (worst?) back here on the Bruce Peninsula. Every one of my photographs has snow or ice in it somewhere!

    As always, your bird and scenery shots are great, and I'd love to see a bit more of your more abstract work that shows up on the blog now and then. Your photos are really capturing the fantastic light in the Southwest as I recall it. Any night sky shots in the future?

    Looking forward to you next posting and Happy New Year!!

    Cheers,

    Rod
